North Kerry won the toss and decided to bowl first against Dingle. They had several regular players unavailable but had some new recruits in their ranks. Dingle opened with the big hitting Mark Munday and Kallum Stanney but they failed to fire and were both back in the pavilion with the score on 38. Wickets continued to fall and at 59 for 5 Dingle looked in trouble. Only the big hitting Elton Getkate, watched by his father visiting from South Africa, with 34 off 28 balls gave the score respectability.Their final total of 118 for 6 was a good recovery.
North Kerrys best bowling came from Matt Barron 4 overs 8runs 1 wicket and Gary Pickett 4 overs 21runs 2 wickets. Keeper Paul Finch took a good catch and a stumping.
North Kerrys reply was disappointing, needing nearly 6 runs an over to win, they started slowly and never accelerated, not one boundary in 20 overs must be something of an unwanted record. Scoring only 76 runs for six wickets meant not only a heavy defeat but no batting bonus points. Top scorer was Richard Rutland with 25 off 52 balls.
Dingle bowling was tighter than in their last outing Callum Moriarty , 4 overs 5 runs, was pacey and unlucky not to take a wicket. Chris Smailes 2 for 12 and James Windle bowled a much tighter line and only woeful catching let them down.
